JazzyBird Soaps® is an artisan-made soaps company that creates groovy, playful, and beautiful products made in the spirit of love, peace, good music, and joy.
We use high-quality, organic (wherever possible), and support companies who sustainably and ethically source their products (wherever possible) to provide our customers with the best skincare benefits, color, texture, and scents.
All fragrances we use are paraben & phthalate free and our products are sulfate (SLS) free, and paraben free.
We don’t just believe in making great products, but we believe in encouraging and inspiring our tribe to find and create more love, peace, good music, and joy in their lives, too! That’s why every single purchase from JazzyBird Soaps® is hand-packed with care and made complete with fun-colored packaging, affirmations, and encouraging quotes to bring some joy into your day!
What is the difference between a Balm and a Salve?
This is a great question! Both salves and body balms are natural topical products used for skin care. They aim to soothe, nourish, and address various skin conditions like eczema and chafing. While both contain a blend of oils, beeswax (or alternatives like candelilla or carnauba), and sometimes essential oils, they have distinct differences:
Body balms have a thicker or harder texture due to a higher proportion of butters and beeswax. They often include various oils, additional elements like vitamin E, and fragrances. Our balms maintain a near 50/50 ratio of oils to butters. We use Apricot, Organic Evening Primrose, Organic Black Cumin Seed, and Organic Jojoba Oils alongside Organic Mango, Organic Shea, and Avocado Butters.
Ideal for hydrating dry skin and offering prolonged moisture, body balms serve this purpose exceptionally well.
Salves closely resemble balms but usually have a higher proportion of oils to wax, incorporating infused oils with medicinal herbs and essential oils. The choice of medicinal herbs depends on the intended healing properties, such as calendula, lavender buds, rosemary, clove, and more. While some salves may contain a small amount of butters or waxes, others omit these components entirely. Due to the lower wax and butter content, salves are softer and easier to spread. They're perfect for targeting dryness, minor cuts, scrapes, irritation, and even for tattoo care. Their softer consistency enables better skin absorption, enhancing their healing properties.
Do you accept orders for special events/ custom soap requests?
Absolutely! We offer custom requests for our soaps, body balms, salves, and whipped body butters at the moment. If you would like for us to create something special for your wedding, baby shower, company party, or even a soap to use for decoration purposes etc., send us an email with your name, email address, and telephone number to Jazzybirdsoaps@gmail.com and we will work together to see what we can come up with!
Order minimum: 10
Please note: All custom orders are made to order. Body balms, Herbal Salves, and Whipped Body Butters require a 1 to 2 week turn around. Depending on the vessel you'd prefer, we may be able to accommodate a 1 week turn-around. Specifically for our handmade artisanal soaps, because we use the cold-process method for soaps, orders would need to be place at least 6 weeks in advance. Cold-process soaps need to sit on our curing rack for at least three weeks before shipping. We only want to provide you with the best long-lasting product, so patience is greatly appreciate.

Will your products heal my skin conditions?
While our products are crafted with high-quality, natural ingredients that are known for their skin-friendly properties please note per FDA regulations we cannot make specific medical claims or guarantee a cure for any skin condition. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any diseases. We design all of our products to provide a gentle and nourishing experience and many of our customers have reported improvements to the overall condition and texture of their skin after using our products. However, individual responses may vary, and it is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advise regarding any skin conditions or concerns.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the handmade nature of our products, and for hygienic reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if you experience an issue with your order, please contact us immediately and we will kindly do our best to resolve it. We must be notified within 5 days after receiving your order of any discrepancies or damages. We pride ourselves in the quality of our work and want to ensure our customers have a happy and positive experience.
Do you offer refunds if I do not like the scent of the product?
We totally get that everyone's senses are unique! We have our personal scent preferences as well! However, kindly understand that we do not offer refunds for personal scent, texture, or design preferences. Scent strength can vary, and what smells like flowers to me might be fruity to you. Sometimes, soaps might even pick up scents from each other – (yes it happens)!
We do our best to describe scents accurately, using the info from manufacturers, but we know smell is subjective.If you'd like to try one of our scents, you can request a free sample for most products in the checkout (by writing us a note) or purchase a sampler sized product.
If you ever have an issue, JazzyBird Soaps® is here for you! While refunds are case-by-case, we want you to be happy. Just remember, shipping costs aren't included in refunds or store credits. Let's keep it fresh and delightful! 😊🌈🛁
When you create a new batch of a current soap product, will it look the exact same as the previous version?
This is a great question! Due to the handmade artistic nature of our products, no two soap bars or batches are identical. That means you may notice variations in color in comparison to the product listing photos and/or previous orders. In our opinion, soap making and designing is an art-form and we treat it as such. Similar to jazz musicians that create music spontaneously or improvise on the spot, sometimes we do the same with our designs. One batch we may try a particular swirl technique while the other batch we may feel the need to follow a different design. Although we may attempt to duplicate batches, it is not always possible so please be aware that there may be variations from bar to bar.
Are your products vegan friendly?
The majority of our products are vegan friendly, however, it is important to check the ingredients list prior to purchasing. Our balms, salves, and some of our soap bars contain beeswax or honey so please consider this if purchasing one of these products for someone who prefers vegan options.

I love your products and I'd like to have them monthly! How can I subscribe?
Thank you kindly for the message, this is what we LOVE to hear! We offer monthly subscription options for most of our products and you can subscribe to them monthly from the product page. We also have a 3 month soap box subscription option where you can have 2 or 4 assorted soaps sent to you every three months. You can view our subscription box tab for more info.
