By using and purchasing through this site, you automatically acknowledge and agree to our terms and policies. We reserve the right to change these terms at any time.

SOAP PRODUCTS SIZE AND APPEARANCE

Our Artisan Soaps are handcrafted with premium ingredients that have been carefully selected to create a firm and long-lasting bar of soap. JazzyBird Soaps are created in the spirit of love, peace, good music and joy in our studio in Eugene, Oregon! Due to the handmade artistic nature of our products, no two soap bars or batches are identical. That means you may notice variations in color in comparison to the product listing photos and/or previous orders. In our opinion, soapmaking and designing is an artform and we treat it as such. Similar to jazz musicians that create music spontaneously or improvise on the spot, sometimes we do the same with our designs. One batch we may try a particular swirl technique while the other batch we may feel the need to follow a different design.  Although we may attempt to duplicate batches, it is not always possible so please be aware that there may be variations from bar to bar.

Please note that our soaps are cut by hand so size and weight may vary. Depending on the soap and design, the majority of our soaps weigh between 4-7 ounces, however, the weights of our soaps may vary from bar to bar.

Please be aware if you live in hot or humid areas, your package may be exposed to temperatures that are not ideal for soap products. In some cases, the soaps and boxes may be slightly damp and handmade soap may “sweat” in humid weather. If this happens, there is nothing to be worried about! Your soap is still perfectly okay to use.

We are unable to resell any item that has been out of our supervision. All sales are final.

Please note no refunds will be given due to personal dislike of scent, texture, or design. Scent strength may vary with each soap product.  Our usage rates are based on IFRA proper usage rates. While we do our best to accurately describe the scents based on the fragrance and essential oil descriptions provided by the manufacturers, the sense of smell can vary from person to person and different scents may be perceived differently per person. For example, what may smell like a floral scent to me may smell fruity to you. In some cases, soaps may pick up scents from other soaps.

All materials including, but not limited to, images, photos, text, titles, descriptions and products belong to A Touch of Excellence LLC (DBA JazzyBird Soaps) unless otherwise stated and may not be used or reproduced without our consent.

ALLERGY ALERT

Here at JazzyBird Soaps, we use a variety of ingredients in our products including nut oils, butters, fragrance oils and essential oils.  Before placing your order, please be aware of any skin allergies or sensitivities you may have. We disclose all ingredients used carefully on our soap descriptions and labels. At some point in our process, one ingredient may have been or may come in contact with another ingredient; although we do our best to minimize these occurrences. This would be similar to a warning that says "This product has been processed in a facility that also processes ______".   Although we clean all equipment prior to making a new batch of soap, there is always the possibility that ingredients and finished products have come in contact. We cannot guarantee that some cross-contamination has not occurred.

By purchasing and using products from JazzyBird Soaps, you acknowledge and accept the chance of rashes, allergic reactions, and other potential side effects associated with their usage and have read all of the ingredients listed on our products. If you have skin sensitivities or allergies, we recommend that you perform a skin test first prior to using our soap bars.

GENERAL PRODUCT WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS

It is the responsibility of the user of the products to use the products properly. Always be aware of personal allergies and irritations. Spot test all skin products prior to full use. If any products cause irritation, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. A Touch of Excellence LLC (DBA JazzyBird Soaps) is not responsible for injuries or accidents. Strongly colored soaps and/or soaps with activated charcoal may temporarily discolor wash cloths.

DISCLAIMER

JazzyBird Soaps are homemade products using all natural and synthetic products as noted in the “ingredient listing” under each product sold. Per FDA Regulations, bath and body companies are prohibited from making health-related claims about beauty products. The main purpose of soap is to cleanse. Jazzybird Soaps is not a medical or healthcare professor and does not claim that the use of JazzyBird Soap products is intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or intended to affect the structure or any function of the body. Any information listed pertains to the properties of specific ingredients used in the product. For a concrete understanding of any ingredient listed in our products and how it may react to your body, please consult your family physician.

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR HANDMADE SOAP BAR

To extend the life of your handmade soap, please keep dry between uses. Dry your soap using a soap dish that allows for drainage and keep the soap away from direct streams of water. If soap is left to sit in water for an extended period, it will deteriorate and develop a soft, mushy quality.  As the soap bars decrease in size, you can place them inside a soap-saving pouch. This small pouch will not only hold the soap for reuse but doubles as an exfoliating washcloth. Lastly, enjoy using your unique handmade soap bar!
